How many types of tanks can players find?

In World of Tanks, there are 4 types of tanks:

• Light Tanks: these tanks are known for being fast, although they have a low impact while shooting, not causing a lot of damage to an enemy tank.
• Medium Tanks: these tanks have a blend of speed and damage, making them a good choice for battle.
• Heavy Tanks: these type of tanks do not go too fast, due to their heavy armor; however, they are known for the high penetration and damage they can do, making them 'fearsome' adversaries.
• Tank Destroyers: these tanks are normally used as 'back up' tanks, and although these tanks are pretty similar to the heavy tanks, they are more slow than the heavy tanks, and they have less armor, making them an easy objective for their adversaries.

What are the Tiers?

The Tiers are a way of organize tanks by speed and strengh. The damage per impact and shoot will depend on how the type of tank and the type of 'bullet' that the tank uses.

How is a game organized by Tiers?

World of Tanks is a game based on tank battles in different maps. The teams (which are automatically made) are based on the Tier of the tanks, that is to say, the teams are made with tanks that have a similar level, or Tier. This means that it is not likely to find teams with a Tier X and Tier I tank; instead, the teams might be formed with tanks if similar similar Tier, that is to say, if a player is using a Tier IV Tank, it is likely that the game will involve tanks from Tier IV.

However, there can be cases where there are not enough players using tanks of the same level, so they might be matched with a superior or infirior class. For example, if a player is using a Tier IV tank, and there are not enough tanks to make a battle with Tier IV tanks, some Tier V or Tier III tanks could be added.
