World Of Tanks Blitz is a free online multiplayer combat game that consists on series of "Tank Fights" among 2 teams where the main objectives are to destroy all the enemy tanks or capture a certain base.
The battles are between 2 teams of 7 tanks. These teams are formed from tanks between Tiers I and X (please, see the 'Tank Tier' section on the Catalog).
The teams and the matches are automatically organized by tank's Tier, that is to say, if the User plays with a Tier V tank, the game will match Users that are playing as well with Tier V tanks. If there were not enough tanks to fill the 2 teams, the game will fill the session with tanks of similar rank, that is to say, tanks from Tiers IV or VI (in this case), but never with a tank that has a much greater or lower in Tier, like Tiers I or X.
Once the maps have been selected, Users will be able to purchase a Tier I tank, and start upgrating and obtaining more tanks from that point. It is likely that most of the Tier I tanks are going to be free, which offers the Users the possibility of obtaining their first tanks easily.
Some of the first tanks (Tier I tanks), are free to purchase, so Users can start with those. However, if Users want to obtain new tanks, they will require credits (game's money) and Experience (xp), which can be obtained by playing matches.
It is important to know that before getting a new tank (from Tier II), Users need to upgrate the tank by using the existent expirience, XP. For example, if a User has a Churchill VII (British Tank on the game), and they wish to obtain the next British tank, Black Prince, the User will need to develop the Churchill VII to the highest stadistics. And after that, the User will be required a specific amout of credits and XP to buy the new tank.
In the case of World of Tanks, the battles are designed in a way that there are 3 possible ways of winning, that is to say, the game will finish once all the tanks of one of the teams have been destroyed, the base has been captured, or one of the teams reaches 1,000 points (in the case of Supremacy).
Before selecting their first tank, Users will have to choose which maps they would like to play. As the game is based in the World Wars, some of the main maps would include Europe and Russia (previously known as the URSS).
